Redemptive Love

I was lost, I was broken

I was alone

I had nothing to offer

Nothing more to give

There was nowhere else to go

So I fell to the ground

I lay my tender body down

And my heart cracked open

With the light of God’s grace

Only That could save me

And I knew it had to be that way

I had to go that far

I had to walk alone

In the desert

I had to burn in the fire

So I would discover

The eternal nourishment

Our true source of power

His Mercy is everything

And only those who have been pushed that far

Will know that unfathomable mercy

He showers upon us

Delivering

Absolute forgiveness

And the unconditional love that heals all wounds

And makes us whole

Revealing what was never broken

Revealing what was never lost

Restoring us to life

After the long dark night

The sun rises in all its glory

And it will never set again

God shows us we don’t have to do anything

To receive this

It is given freely

All we can ever do is turn towards That

Which is closer than close

Our own Presence

Our own Self

The Breath inside our Breath

Never forget

You are the Body of God

Never forget

All the glory lives in you.
